American actor Alexandra Hetherington Breckenridge. She began her career as an actress in the teen comedy films Big Fat Liar (2006) and She's the Man (2006). In the FX series Dirt she was Willa McPherson in the role of reporter. She also played the role of a support character in the show that ran for a short time, The Ex List. In the first season, she played the role of Moira O'Hara as a teenage Moira and in the following season, she played Kaylee. She was Jessie Anderson in the AMC series The Walking Dead and Sophie in the NBC series This Is Us. She also voices of various characters in the comedy show Family Guy. Since 2019she has been on the show as Melinda "Mel" Monroe who is a character from the Netflix series Virgin River. Breckenridge was a resident of Darien, Connecticut, until 10 years old when she and her mother relocated to California,[1] where they moved around for a year before finally settling in Mill Valley. Breckenridge started to be fascinated by photography, acting and singing when she was 13. She relocated to Los Angeles with her mother when she was 15 to pursue her acting career.
